Thrane and Thrane Explorer 110 は、ﾉｰﾄPC の半分程の大きさで 1kg
以下の重さの衛星通信ﾀｰﾐﾅﾙです。小型の割りに湿気や砂漠の砂埃に対応した丈夫な仕様になっています。
ﾉｰﾄPCとの接続には Ethernet(LAN) / USB / Bluetooth など複数の接続方式を持っています。
Thrane and Thrane Explorer 110 は、1台で音声と高速のﾃﾞｰﾀ通信を提供します。IP接続によるﾃﾞｰﾀ通信速度は、受信 384kbps / 送信 240kbps です。また、ｽﾄﾘｰﾐﾝｸﾞ･ﾃﾞｰﾀの通信速度は、受信 64kbps / 送信 32kbps です。
Thrane and Thrane Explorer 110 の大きな特徴は、ｱﾝﾃﾅ･ｹｰﾌﾞﾙを利用して本体からｱﾝﾃﾅを分離して利用することができます。
本体は屋内に置いたまま屋外にｱﾝﾃﾅを移動させれば作業場所を移動する必要がなくなります。
Thrane and Thrane Explorer 110 で音声通話を利用する場合は、別途ｵﾌﾟｼｮﾝの小型の受話器が必要となります。
